My love for photography began when I was a kid exploring the sights of Dayton with my dad on the weekends. He always carried his camera, and nothing excited me more than when he’d hand over his 35mm Ricoh and let me document our adventures. I didn’t know it then, but those early moments  planted a seed I didn’t yet realize would grow into a lifelong passion.

Photography found me again in high school when I chose to create a photo series instead of writing a book report. My teacher was convinced I’d purchased postcards because the images looked “too good” to be mine. That was the first time I realized I might have a natural eye for this craft.

Later, during my career as a police officer, I received extensive training in crime and accident scene photography—back in the film days, when you had to get the shot right the first time. That experience taught me precision, patience, and how to truly paint with light. As life evolved and I became a parent, my camera followed my kids through their milestones, sports, and events. Before long, I was photographing school activities, sports and event venues, and even freelancing for a CBS Sports affiliate.

As my kids have grown, my focus has shifted. I still love the energy of sports and events, but my calling has brought me into something deeper: connecting with people, learning their stories, and collaborating to create images that reflect their most authentic selves. That’s the heart of my work today.

Whether I’m documenting the emotion of an event, creating dynamic candids, crafting a conceptual portrait, shaping a cinematic moment, or guiding you through a luxury boudoir experience, my goal is simple—to create images that feel unmistakably, unapologetically you.
